How to design a 3D pipe

 Introduction

If you spend more time in design, automatically you will learn new tools, new tricks and you will do faster ever before, trust me.  From every object I learn something new  before I don't know that. In this post I learned new thing called sweep.



Sweep tool

Sweep is a interesting tool. First time I learned it from youtube for making pipe lines and joints. That time I feel wow!the can change a line into whatever shape. The first step is make a line and make what shape you want. And then select the previously created shape and click on sweep tool. The toll is now selected now you can do only select the line that's all. Now you can see that line become a solid.


Pipes

I'm used this sweep tool for design pipes and joints. I'm here posted some of my work that designed by sweep tool. During Learning autocad the pipe designing is a part of that software. Using this software some of them design automobiles, locomotives, pipe linings, and other 3d modeling purposes.


How to design a pipe

First set 3d modeling in autocad and select front view as a x-y plane

  1. Select line tool create lenth of the pipe.
  2. Copy it and paste it near to the original drawing.
  3. Now select top plane as a x-y plane.
  4. Draw a inner circular and outer circular.
  5. Select inner circle and command sweep.
  6. Select the line and press enter.
  7. Follow similar process for outer diameter.
  8. Move inner circle inside of the outer circle perfectly consider ceter point of the circle.
  9. Now select substract tool from tool section.
  10. Select outer circle press enter and select inner circle press enter.

My output

End of the pipe corners I attached a design used to attace the pipes temporarily. This attachment of design gives the perfect pipe look. And I render the object to get amazing output. Here
